Posted by: George Carmichael  /  Category: Gambling

Selecting the best online casino for you is the first step towards a lucrative and successful online casino experience. A super online casino review site can help you do just that.

Some might argue that choosing the right online casino review site is just as important as choosing the right online casino.

When selecting an online casino review site its important to look for the following things:

First, is the site independently owned and operated, or is it an extension of an online casino itself? This can be a tricky thing to determine, but it is an important point to establish. You want to make sure that the online casino reviews you are receiving are totally fair and transparent.

Also be sure that the site compares at least 3 or more of the top online casino sites. There are many online casinos on the internet today, but only a few are considered to be TOP ONLINE CASINOS. Some of the best rated and most popular sites are Slots Oasis, Rushmore Casino, and Cherry Red Casino. Its important to watch out for at least 3 of these names when looking at an online casino review. As these sites are the largest, most reputable and most popular, they can afford to offer all the best online casino promotions.

The top online casino review sites are engineered to be quick, easy and effective, so players can get back to what they really want to be doing ” winning big and having fun! With just the click of a mouse and a few short minutes, players can compare free money deposit matches, bonus offers, VIP offers, etc, from all the best online casinos. A reputable online casino review site will keep a constantly updated list of all these online casino promotions.

Maybe the most important point when selecting an online casino review site is cost. All online casino review sites should be FREE. You are visiting these sites to decide where to spend your money. You should never have to spend money or make a commitment on an online casino review.

Most online casino reviews will have a link to the online casino sites that are being compared. Should a player decide to sign up for one of those sites, that link is there to help them do so. The online casino review site should never itself be a place where visitors can go ” no strings attached.

It makes a lot of sense to visit an online casino review site before signing up or making a first-time deposit. After all, the more players know the more chance they have to be successful. Online casino review sites are meant to be stress free, no pressure places for online casino players to go for the information they need to stay informed and up-to-date.

If you are an online casino player, you would be wise to check out an online casino review site for the greatest promotions and features offered on the internet today. Find the most lucrative online casino deposit bonus offers, and largest free money gifts in the online gaming industry today!

The Amazing FA Cup

Posted by: Amy Harris  /  Category: Gambling
by Ryan Chandler

Last Saturday, the greatest sporting event in the world kicked off. No, I’m not talking about any strictly American sport, nor am I talking about MMA, basketball, or baseball, cricket, or any other sporting event that immediately comes to mind. Am I talking about the UEFA Champions’ League, the soccer glamour competition that ESPN and Fox Sports have created into a pretty common event in America? The answer remains no.

What I’m talking about is a competition that gets little coverage in the USA, but one that excites so many who know about it to no end. We’re talking about England’s FA Cup, which finally kicked off last weekend.

You may be wondering what sets this event apart from the rest, and what makes it better. It’s the sheer size of it all. Very few events have as many contestants as 762 from the start, and very few have as many rounds (14) as the FA Cup happens to have. The beauty of this all is not only the single round elimination format, but the fact that teams of all levels have the chance to compete with one another.

Huge teams like Manchester United compete against virtual unknowns. Think of a baseball team, not even a minor league team. A team that plays in some kind of regional league that you’ve never heard of. To put it into baseball terms, teams like these have chances to compete against teams like the Yankees and Red Sox, giving every English soccer club a fair chance at glory.

This is where legends are made. Take the Cup from 20 years ago, where Sutton United ousted Coventry City, a premier team. Sutton United wasn’t even a member of a league, akin to an amateur recreational team. Then there’s the 1975 contest, where amateur team Wimbledon FC ousted premier team Burnley and then went so far as a draw with the defending champs Lees in the third round.

The beauty of it all lies within the dream that it allows for, combined with the shock value that comes with massive upsets. It gives the lesser teams a chance, if for all but a moment, to feel big, and prove its worth against the giants of the soccer world.

So why should you, as an American, care about the FA Cup? Because it’s essentially a giant version of March Madness, that is the best way that I can describe it to you. From August 15 until the final on May 15, teams from all over England will fight for the right to lift the most storied trophy in English soccer. With the knockout aspect, teams can’t afford to slip up; one game can be the end of your Cup run. The excitement of the FA Cup is unmatched and is something that really should be witnessed. Any game, literally, has the chance to have history attached to it. For all you know, you could be turning in to watch the next great upset and that is something that cannot be overstated. Could the next great run in FA Cup history happen this year? Could a non-league team upset a Premier League team? You never, ever know.

Do you want to watch ten months of March Madness? Do you want to see amateur teams take on some of the biggest and richest clubs in the world on an even field? The FA Cup has all of that and deserves your attention. An event this special is truly something that we would never see in American sports and that is a shame. However, thanks to English soccer, we all get the chance.

How Do People Make Money With Online Poker?

Posted by: Ivy Helmuth  /  Category: Poker
by Nikki Bensen

This might sound unbelievable but there are literally thousands of individuals across the globe that make their living in online poker rooms and casinos. Sounds exciting doesnt it? Would you like to be one of them? Before you make up your mind, lets take a quick look at some aspects that might affect or influence your decision. But right at the start its important to understand that the only way to gaining poker skill is through practice.

The job does create a fascinating image in your minds eye but in reality, pro poker is far less glamorous involving very long hours and an unending supply of patience if youre looking to make as much as you otherwise would from any other regular type of job. Depending on how lady luck treats you, youll either make lots of money in a jiffy on any given day or lose pots of money equally fast.

But the bottomline is that you need to have enough skills to do this professionally. You also need to possess good bankroll management skills if you want to survive in this industry. On low days when your lucks not on your side, its important that you have enough control to stop right there and not demolish your bankroll further. Unless youre able to do this, youll never make it as a professional poker online.

Many poker players believe that the hallmark of a pro is that they play for high stakes. That, however, is untrue. Its best that you play at the level youre most comfortable with. The idea is to make enough money for a living and thats easily possible at a $1/$2 game. High stake games do grant you the opportunity to make loads of money if you win, but they also relieve you of large sums when you lose.

Look at your history. If you have been a good sensible player then go ahead and give this career a shot. But if you have always been reckless with your games then maybe this profile isnt for you.

If You Feel Lady Luck Likes You

A few years ago I played in online casinos. I had a lot of fun and have to say a lot of success, but had to give it up when I got married and started my family. Now the kids are in school, our house is almost paid off and our savings account is growing. So I decided to visit the online casinos again.

I started looking that weekend. My plan was to download and install the software from a handful of online casinos and try them out. Once I found one that had all the games I like and a user interface I found friendly, I would be set. I tried half a dozen on Saturday using play money. I liked them all and decided on 3 that I would actually deposit money to. When I tried, I discovered that none of them accepted American players. This is probably the first time in my life that being American was a liability for me.

I started trying to figure out how to easily and quickly identify online casinos that accept Americans. After a little while I found onlinecasino6.com and all my problems were solved. This site is the best! Onlinecasino6.com has full reviews of all the best online casinos. They tell you all about the games and user interface of each casino. They even put all the online casinos that accept American players in one easy to browse spot.

The deposit bonus became the biggest factor in my choosing a casino this time around. “Online Casino 6″ gave me all the information I needed about how to deposit and how to clear my bonus on each site. Truly great web site!

I wish onlinecasino6.com had been around when I had first started playing in online casinos. But I am even more thankful on the fact that they exist today. It only took a few minutes to find the online casinos that had my favorite games as well as deposit bonuses that I am able to take for myself easily.

Ratings Based Racing: What It Means At The Track

Posted by: Byron Jonas  /  Category: Gambling
by David Gately

Ratings-Based racing is something relatively new to most Australian punters but is here to stay so we need to get a handle on it. The major difference between ratings-based racing and the old Class 1, Class 2 (etc.) racing can be simplified by an example: In say, a 62RB (Ratings Based) race you can have a Class 1 horse (a horse with only one win), a Class 2 horse (horse with two wins) etc. racing against each-other provided their “rating” doesn’t exceed the level of the race, in this example, 62.

in late 2006, a review of the possibility of implementing ratings-based racing, found that Victorian trainers in all corners of the state overwhelmingly supported the retention of Ratings Based racing. This is highlighted by the fact that 94% of trainers in Victoria supported the keeping this form of handicap racing.

It seems obvious from feedback within the racing industry that RBH (Ratings-Based Handicapping) has been very well accepted. In fact, a survey of trainers/owners etc showed 86% were happy with the system, this overwhelming support (and of course the fact field sizes and therefore turnover is increased) will ensure this system remains in Victoria for some time.

Statistics in racing are everywhere but there is one website with unprecedented strike-rates and that is OzRacingForm.com which is run and operated by David Gately. He can boast a near 85% strike-rate in his top-rated runners in both Melbourne and Sydney. (broken down, that means he finds the winner of the race in his top-five selections on or near 85% of the time) We asked how his strike-rate remains at such a level of such a long period of time. David says: “I think people can over complicate and over evaluate races, it is quite rare that there are more than four or five ‘winning chances’ in a race and that’s where we draw the line. Ok, they are animals and not motorbikes so there are always strange results on occasions, but we stick to a basic formula, bet to value runners, and enjoy a good deal of success”.

Computer Ratings cannot give you all the information, for example, a horse early in his/her career or even early in his/her preparation has “upside” or scope to improve many lengths… No computer can judge for this.

Finding value runners is always the way professional punters have operated, there are many favourites that run that have little hope of actually winning. These horse’s are referred to as “unders” (under their true odds of winning) and when identified can set you up for a nice collect if you can work around them in betting. How do we identify such ‘unders’? Well, it gets back to knowing each horse and his/her particular likes and dislikes. David Gately from OzRacingForm.com thinks this is rule No.1. He explains: “Look, knowing a horse’s capabilities, his likes or dislikes, his personality if you like, are keys to having half this battle (of finding value runners/winners) won”.

Don’t be scared by RBH (Ratings Based Handicap) racing. Yes, it has more ‘layers’ to it (horses competing from differing levels/ classes) but remember, it is a handicap and there will be horses well-weighted and poorly weighted in most races. (based on current form and/or scope to improve in differing conditions/fitness levels) So stay alert and may the best of luck be with you !
