Brett Favre’s Future Failed Attempt

I really feel bad for Sage Rosenfels and Tavaris Jackson. Sage Rosenfels commented on the Favre signing by saying, “This is not what I was hoping for.” I bet. It’s like your lunch money was taken by the school bully and you couldn’t do a damn thing about it!

Favre did the same thing to Chad Pennington last season. After the Jets signed Favre, they released the feeble Pennington. In a cruel twist of fate, the Dolphins signed Pennington, who put together a great season in Miami, leading them to a division championship over the Jets of all teams. How’s that for revenge?!

I used to like him. I liked him before he aged and became ineffective. I liked him before he became a drama queen. Why can’t he just put his football days behind him and realize that he’s done. Why not focus on his family at this point?

Be an analyst on TV. Write some books. Do some charity work. Do anything but try to play more football, which you’re clearly not cut out for at this point in your career.

After stirring up a media frenzy a year ago, Favre decided to come out of retirement for a season with the Jets. While everyone in New York was excited about this, the season ended in turmoil. He was injured, ineffective, and his teammates hated him.

Wasn’t the New York failure enough for him to realize he won’t be younger and more effective in 2009? The Vikings are about to endure exactly what the Jets did in New York. This makes absolutely no sense to me.

Favre was once great. He was once the best. He’s no longer either of these things. At best, he’s average, and he’s had a very accomplished career that needs to come to an end.

You got your ring versus my beloved Patriots and I was okay with that because you were a fiery competitor, a leader, and FUN to watch. You deserved it. Brett, the fans of the NFL no longer DESERVE this. Return the favor, please!!!!!!!
